Yes, diplomas released by Romanian educational institutions are internationally recognized based on the fact that Romania is a member of the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region, otherwise known as the 1997 Lisbon Recognition Convention, the key legal instrument for recognition of qualifications across UNESCO's Europe and North America Region. Also by being a member of the Bologna Process, the most important regional process of reform of higher education in Europe, can provide recognition instruments as Diploma Supplement and ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).

The duration varies as follows: Bachelor Degrees 3 - 5 years, Master Degrees 1 - 2 years, PhD 2 - 4, Medicine 6 years, Pharmacy and Dentistry 5 years.

The programs of study are available in Romanian, Hungarian, English, French and German.
